His name is Pinky. He's never been outside before and he hasn't been home for 3 days. I'm very sad and worried. What if Pinky never comes back?
Mom and Dad try to reassure me. They tell me that our town has an animal shelter. If they find Pinky, they'll call us.
So I spend hours in front of the phone, waiting for the call from the shelter. Mom tries to distract me by inviting me to play with my stuffed animals but I don't feel like playing.
“You could be Superlove again.” Dad suggests. “What do you say?”
"No. I'm too sad to be Superlove today. I miss Pinky!"
And then, the next day, the phone rings. It's the shelter. They've got Pinky! Mom goes to pick him up and I can't wait. When she gets home, she takes Pinky out of a carrier and I give him a big hug.
"PINKY! I'm so happy!"
I cry from joy. Pinky keeps moving all the time.
“I think he wants you to put him down.” Dad says to me.
“Okay.”
I put Pinky on the floor and he climbed up his cat tree. Now that he's back, I can play again and become someone else. Get ready everybody, Superlove is coming!
